Invitation

Dear Colleagues, Dear Friends,

It is our great pleasure to invite you to the 10th International Sports & Arthritis MSK Conference, which will take place on 24–26 September 2026 in Wrocław.

Wrocław is a city of unique history, shaped over centuries by the Piast dynasty, the Kingdom of Bohemia, the Habsburg Monarchy, Prussia, and finally Poland, following the decisions of the Potsdam Conference. Today, it stands as a vibrant, multicultural European city — an inspiring setting for international scientific exchange.

In this unique atmosphere, we are delighted to welcome an outstanding international faculty, including distinguished members of European Society of Musculoskeletal Radiology (ESSR) and renowned experts in musculoskeletal imaging: Dr P. Diana Afonso (Portugal), Dr Yaron Berkowitz (Great Britain), Prof. Torsten Diekhoff (Germany), Prof. Milko de Jonge (The Netherlands), Prof. Carlo Martinoli (Italy), Prof. Vogado Mascarenhas (Portugal), Prof. James Teh (UK), and renowned Polish experts in musculoskeletal imaging: Dr Beata Ciszkowska-Łysoń, Dr Artur Kusak,
Dr Marek Leszkiewicz, Dr Żaneta Nitek, Dr Piotr Palczewski, Dr Magdalena Posadzy, Dr Juliusz Sroczyński, Dr Arleta Witkowska-Łuczak, who will provide high-quality teaching in musculoskeletal radiology.

The Conference will focus on extremities and will explore a wide spectrum of sports-related conditions assessed with radiography, MRI, CT, and ultrasound. Particular attention will be given to joint instability, as well as injuries of joints, muscles, and tendons. The program is designed for both beginners and experienced radiologists, orthopedic surgeons, and all medical professionals interested in musculoskeletal imaging and sports medicine.

A dedicated Arthritis Session will address rheumatic diseases and musculoskeletal infections. In addition, a 2.5-hour MRI interactive teaching session will focus on knee injuries, offering practical case-based discussion.

In keeping with our tradition, prepare for another highlight of the meeting — a 3-hour ultrasound live demo led by Prof. Carlo Martinoli, who will reveal the finer anatomical details of the hand and wrist in his unique and masterful teaching style.

We also warmly invite you to two additional workshops:

Thursday: “Rheumatology: Sacroiliitis & Spondylitis” workshop led by Prof. Torsten Diekhoff and Prof. Iwona Sudoł-Szopińska,
Saturday afternoon: Hands-on ultrasound workshop with our experienced tutors.

Do not miss the opportunity to meet us in Wrocław for three days of intensive learning, inspiring discussions, and collegial exchange.

We look forward to welcoming you.

With kind regards,

Professor Iwona Sudoł-Szopińska, MD, PhD

Wojciech Szewczyk, MD, PhD
